My wife Kirsty and I have stayed with Ronald McDonald House, Glasgow on 3 occasions when our son was in hospital with serious heart conditions. At just 9 days old Callum underwent his first open heart surgery which was a whirlwind for our family.
There was a lot going on in our minds, Ronald McDonald House Glasgow gave us a safe place to stay right on the hospitals doorstep, allowing us to be there for our son at the time when he needed us the most. The question of how we were going to get too and from the hospital quickly was just one of the many things that we were worrying about. But Ronald McDonald House were there to take that stress out of the equation, which was a massive weight off of our shoulders.
Both the staff and facilities at Ronald McDonald House were just amazing. Providing a fantastic home away from home which allowed us to focus solely on the health and wellbeing of our son.
We are eternally grateful to Ronald McDonald House in Glasgow for everything that they have done for our family. We felt that the least that we could do is donate new furniture, raise some money and help raise awareness about the amazing work that the charity do!”
