Throughout June we have had the amazing privilege of lots of volunteers from Barclays, Scottish Power, Glasgow Marriott Hotel and Marks and Spencer. The teams have all spent volunteering or citizenship days at the House, helping with a variety of tasks.

We were so excited to welcome 43 volunteers from 7 different Marks and Spencer during Volunteers Week. In an epic week of action, covering over 280 hours of volunteer hours, they helped tidy, weed and de-moss our gardens, paint fences, pack hundreds of toiletry packs ready for our families and input sheets and sheets of data!

For two Mondays in June, we also held a toy stall in the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow thanks to the support of volunteers from Barclays and the Glasgow Marriott, as well as one individual volunteer! From the second the toys were laid out, it was non-stop and thanks to everyone who bought a toy or two (or ten!) we raised an astounding £1118.46.

These incredible volunteers covered a total of 316 volunteer hours and made a massive impact on the House!
Volunteering is a great way to support the families at the House beyond simply raising money. Could you or your colleagues volunteer?
