Could you be our next major fundraiser?
Having just gone past the halfway mark for the year, we thought we’d highlight three of 2020’s major fundraisers. They have used their positivity to the max to more than cover the annual cost of a room at the House.
It was a colourful week for sure, when 360 Architecture held their Rainbow Week in May! Wearing 5 different colours over 5 days; 381 participants from 25 companies took part and raised over £15,000! We loved the lunchtime Zoom calls and can definitely say architects’ clothes are anything but bland!!
A beautifully heartwarming fundraiser was created by Zander and Michelle. Their ‘From Our Living Room to Yours’ saw hundreds of people tuning in for their special fundraising evening. Their beautiful daughter, Robyn needed specialist care at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Thankfully we were able to offer her mum and dad somewhere to stay while she was there.
And finally, a huge effort saw KitCat’s Rainbow Warriors doing incredible things for the House, in her memory.
Fiona, Allan and Finlay would have been surrounded by 89 friends and family at the Glasgow Kiltwalk. The event was cancelled due to lockdown but this phenomenal group of people fundraised anyway raising over £30,000!! They then went on to continue with the 2.6 Challenge taking their total to over £32,000!! What an amazing tribute to Catriona.
What these amazing people have achieved:
These incredible fundraisers have between them paid for 4 bedrooms at Ronald McDonald House Glasgow for a year. That’s a wonderful 60+ families helped to stay close to their seriously ill children in hospital. How phenomenal to have helped so many people. Well done to absolutely everyone involved – you are literally keeping the doors to the House open.
