Our New House

WE’RE HOME

After almost 20 years the Ronald McDonald House at Yorkhill has moved to a new location on the campus of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This enables us to continue supporting families who have children being treated at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.

June 2014:
Building work begins and is completed within 12 months.

BBC Newsreader Jackie Bird launched the “Ground Breaking” at the new site. She was joined by Ronald McDonald House staff & board members, representatives from construction company CCG and NHS representatives.

With a dry Autumn the builders made great progress and you can see the House is really starting to take shape.

The House is really coming on with electricians hard at work.

At this point the land was still very much a building site but you can really start to see the House forming. The windows were in, bathrooms fitted and it was all coming together nicely.
